The 9th season of Circles in the Sand starts two weeks from today Friday, April 21, 2023, with three days of draws. To say that our team is excited is an understatement. The schedule for opening weekend is Friday and Saturday walks starting at 9 AM and the Sunday walk begins at 10 AM.
Our free shuttle will be running between the Bandon Community Center and Face Rock Wayside. Park your car at the Community Center, 1200 11th Street SW, and enjoy the easy trip over to the labyrinth. We are grateful to The Inn at Face Rock for sponsoring the shuttle service this year.
Saturday, April 22 is Earth Day so after you spread good vibes for Mother Earth on the labyrinth you can enjoy all of the activities around Bandon. There is an Earth Day Artisan Market at The Bandon Community Center (where your car is already parked), from 10 AM – 3 PM. If you still need a 2023 calendar or some Circles in the Sand jewelry you can purchase them at the Mountian to Sea booth.
There has been work going on while we have been off of the sand. If you have walked with us before you know that the stairs leading to the beach needed some tender, loving care. The Oregon Parks and Recreation crew spent a week in February repairing and upgrading the path and the stairs. As you can see from the before, during, and after photos it is definitely an improvement.

We coordinated two sunset photo shoots with our team photographer Charlie Wollertz. Wait until you see how he creatively captured our labyrinths (spoiler alert – there will be some awesome photos in the 2024 calendar).
