Our New Shuttle Service

We consider ourselves fortunate to call Face Rock Wayside our home beach here in Bandon, Oregon. The cliff overlooking the beach offers a view of the labyrinths as a whole with glorious sea stacks and ocean vistas in all directions. The expansive beach gives us a wide canvas to create peaceful, meandering paths in a variety of ways. If you have visited us then you have probably experienced our one very limiting factor which is enough space for parking.

To alleviate some of the pressure on the parking lot the City of Bandon has offered the use of the parking spaces at the Bandon Community Center. We reached out to one of our sponsors, The Inn at Face Rock, to help us fund a shuttle service to run between the Community Center and the beach. They agreed and we were able to hire our local Fairway Shuttle service to transport visitors to the labyrinth for each draw series this summer.

The Bandon Community Center is located at 1200 11th Street. The shuttle will pick up visitors there starting 30 minutes before each day's walk time and will loop between the parking lot and Face Rock Wayside approximately every 15 minutes. Service will run for 2 to 2 ½ hours from the start of the walk each day. The best part is the shuttle service is FREE. Dogs are welcome and you may even meet the shuttle mascot, Diesel. Riders should wait by the Circles in the Sand sign in front of the Community Center for the shuttle pick-up. And when you are ready to head back from the beach it will be easy to spot the shuttle in the Wayside parking lot.

Whether you are driving an RV or a mini Cooper you will find that riding the shuttle is infinitely easier than trying to find a parking spot at the beach. Bandon residents who do not live within walking distance of the labyrinths are encouraged to skip the parking hassle and ride the shuttle.

This service could not be possible without financial support from the fabulous folks at The Inn at Face Rock Best Western. We are so grateful for their backing in this new endeavor.

The full summer schedule with each walk start time is listed on our website.

Our next draw series starts today and runs through Sunday, June 19. On June 18th we are creating a special “Memory Circle” in conjunction with the Coastal Memory Walk for Alzheimer’s. Sunday is Father's Day and Juneteenth so what better way to celebrate than a labyrinth walk.

See you on the sand (and the shuttle).
